Presenter: Michael Berkman is a public interest environmental lawyer, scientist & Queensland Greens candidate for the new seat of Maiwar. Michael will give a presentation examining the politics of energy in Australia. The energy and climate change debate has been reduce to an appallingly low level in recent months with continual attacks by LNP governments on renewable energy, and attempts to remove supporting programs and funding, while offering massive subsidies to the fossil fuel industry. How did we arrive at this point, and where is this all heading? What are the consequences for Australia’s renewable energy industry? These are just some of the questions that may be addressed in this presentation.

Note: The ATA and its meetings are not aligned with any political party and that includes this important meeting to better understand the political background to our current situation.

We hope to see you at the meeting.
