ATA Canberra branch meeting - The NextGen energy storage program and long term performance testing of batteries.

Speaker: Simon Troman of IT Power (Australia) has extensive experience in developing and implementing renewable energy systems. He is currently manager of the Kiritimati Island Energy Sector Programme at IT Power. Before joining ITP Simon managed the Renewable Remote Power Generation Program for the Australian Greenhouse Office, and worked as a Field Projects Manager with the CSIRO

IT Power was one of three firms originally selected to participate in the ACT Government’s Next Generation Energy Storage Program. They have also been funded by the Australian Renewable Energy Agency to conduct a three year performance test of a range of lithium-ion batteries at the Canberra Institute of Technology.
In addition to these local projects ITP is involved in the development of hybrid and small scale 100% solar power systems in the Pacific as well as large scale projects in Australia.
Simon is happy to field questions on any or all of the above.
