ATA Melbourne EV branch meeting - Home Solar and an Electric Vehicle - Why they compliment each other

Where: Engineering Building (EN), Swinburne University, Hawthorn campus, Burwood road, Hawthorn. Follow the signs to the room. If you have trouble locating the Engineering Building (EN) then you look at this Hawthorn campus map.

Presentation: This month Paul Patton (Branch Convener) will talk about how home solar and an electric vehicle complement each other. Case studies will be presented of savings in electricity, CO2 and costs that have been achieved by home owners. Examples from owners of electric vehicles and how battery storage will be more cost effective with an electric vehicle.

  • BMW announces a longer range battery for the i3. Customers can swap over their current battery if they want to.
  • Nissan launches its vehicle to grid technology in UK in partnership with Enel. Leaf car or NV200 van export to grid during high energy demand.
